African Mask-Lois Mailou Jones Influence

I created this piece in college and really fell in love with the harlem renaissance.

My blog is all about my art work. My inspiration for completing my art are social and political issues that affect the African American Community. I also will share any and every abstract pieces I create on a daily basis. My art work will consist of paintings, drawings and writing samples. African American History

I call this piece history because it shows the history of african americans during the slave movement. We were capture, kidnapped and sold. Starting from1619 from West Africa and then the slave laws took effect in 1650.
